HellyTellyLow cost aerial filming with remote piloted aircraft
What We Do
HellyTelly is our aerial filming and survey facility based in the North West of the UK – but operating across the whole of the UK and Ireland. What’s a bit different about us is our background as Broadcast TV single/multicamera directors. We know (from personal experience!) the pressures of location filming – and so we can perhaps go that little bit further in helping you get what you need and taking some of the load off you. Our professional background also means we understand the grammar of pictures and how to best use them to tell a story.
We are now operating a state-of-the art DJI S1000 heavy lift Octocopter which can fly for 15 minutes at a time and carry a 4K / 10 bit camera. The gyro-controlled ZenMuse Gimbal is proving to be amazing stable – and we’re really excited about filming with it. Our 2nd aircraft is a Droidworx SkyJib 8 Octocopter capable of flying cinema-quality cameras like the Canon C300 or Red Epic. Our smaller machine (a customised DJI Phantom) can carry lighter HD cameras into otherwise inaccessible corners.
If you’d like to talk about how we could help you please click on our contact link below or visit our HellyTelly site.
Our number one priority is operating safely. We follow a strict operating procedure that enables us to get CAA permission to operate*. And all our pilots and operators have passed the BNUC-S UAV operators exam.
For each job we will discuss the parameters of the project with you; do a site recce wherever possible – and then produce a comprehensive risk assessment.
We have extensive safety training and regularly review our operating procedures to evaluate safety issues. Even when there are challenges to safe working, with the right planning and preparation, we can often find ways to get you the great pictures you need in a way that doesn’t compromise anyone’s safety.
